Let's Start with a Company Called Type International. This Scam looks so Legitimate, that is why it's still up and running. It's sister company Ozweb Clerical, is also another site that looks so appealing to the average work from home seeker. The owner of Both of these Companies is a man Name Robert Burns. The Problem I have is that if you read their web page, they claim that you can make up to $65 per assignment. The truth is, that's just a bold faced lie. If you add up ALL the assignments that they offer, they just about add up to $65. And we are not talking about just a few assignments here!

Basically, this is the way they work. Each month you are given about 5 or 6 assignments. Actually, they are the same assignments each month. They consist of going to a number of places around the Web and posting ads for the company. The problem with each assignment is that the number of ads you are required to post is astronomical. Each assignment is about 100 posted ads. Some are 200.

For each assignment completed you get about $10.

I did a calculation of how much time it would take to complete each assignment. If you were an absolute typing genius, you would finish the 100 ads in 500 minutes. That comes out to about 8.5 hours. For 8.5 hours of work, again if you can type fast and accurately, that comes out to an hourly pay rate of about $1 an hour. Now, I know in some countries that may be a lot of money. This is why I despise this Company so much!

If you want to charge on a set price basis, then you can do this by working out how many impressions a page or section gets per month and price it on a monthly basis using the cost per thousand pricing structure. So if you want to charge £50 per thousand impressions and a section gets 10,000 impressions per month, you can sell that slot for around £500 per month.

An important point about comparing prices to other media:

Job boards work especially well in blogs that attract students and freelancers. You can code your own job board, or use services like JobCoin.com, or SimplyHired’s Job-a-Matic.

3. PodCasts / VideoCasts
Many bloggers run their own daily/weekly/monthly online radio or video shows and there is no reason why you shouldn’t either. While podcasts work well, I prefer to create videocasts like the one Darren has on the homepage. All you need is a webcam. Just sit in front of your computer and record a video post about anything that relates to your blog’s content. Videocasting has a number of advantages. It puts a face to the blog and is a great change from just a plain text post. Video ads from sponsors can monetize these video posts and submitting videos to YouTube and other video sharing websites can be a great way to reach new readers. Also, you can encourage readers to respond with “video comments” of their own, though this would require a video sharing script. vShare.in has a decent script for just $10.

This can get expensive and thus should not be attempted until you have a decent number of monthly readers (20,000+). To further engage your readers, you can create a social networking website like MySpace or Facebook specifically for your readers. Why would you want to do this? Well, it’s a great way for people with similar interests to meet or connect. A social network would be ideal for any type of blog that relates to business/entrepreneurship as communication is a major part of professional success and a blog’s social network will be a great place for people to connect with others in the same industry. Creating a social network from scratch can be very time consuming if you are familiar with programming/designing and can cost tens of thousands of dollars to get a custom script made. As a result, most blogger will have to go with a common script, but even these can be quite expensive. Your best bets would be PHPFox.com ($300) or SocialEngine.net ($250-$419) - (eg - check out Mashable’s Social Network for a great example of this type of thing extending a great blog).

Last month I discovered another site that is free to join and use and helps you earn some extra cash. It is called Clixsense. The only thing you have to do to earn some extra money on this site is click on ads. You are not required to sign-up for anything or complete and offers to get paid. There are no catches, just simply click on the ads and watch your account grow.

To join Clixsense you must be 16 years old. This program is open to International Members and US. If you are an International member you should take advantage of this site because most paid to read ad sites don't include other countries.

When you log in to your account you will have ads waiting for you. They range from .01-.10 each. If you choose to upgrade you will get more ads and they will be worth more each. Upgrading is optional and not required to earn money with this site. Just click on the ad you want to view and a new window will pop up. You must view the ad for 30 seconds and then you can close the window. Don't worry they will let you know when the time is up.
